Rye, East Sussex
The adjacent retained land had suffered surface slippage and fallen against the flank wall of the timber-framed bungalow.
Piling mat formed using stone filled gabions. Contiguous piles then installed using 40 no. 350mm diameter board piles x 6m deep using a 1.0 tonne Super Kitten piling rig.
Once the piles had cured the ground in front of the piled was excavated and a new RC retaining wall & integral capping beam was formed. Once complete, the wall was rendered and ground backfilled and regraded behind the RC wall.
The project took 6 months to complete within programme and budget.
